In response to growing demands for the convenience of the USB interface in new desktop and portable computers, MagTek, Inc. announces the "Mini USB" magnetic stripe swipe reader.The "Mini USB" reader provides complete conformance with USB standards, requires 50% less space than full size readers, and requires no external power source. "Mini USB" card readers are ideal for notebook PCs and other devices with USB capabilities. "We've heard many comments from our customers that they would like the ease of USB 'plug & play' in their magnetic stripe reading applications," stated MagTek's VP of Marketing, Kiran Gandhi. "But until now, only RS-232 and keyboard wedge interface readers have been commercially available.
